Graduate Positions

When you start as an accountant at The Firm, we know that what you do isn’t the sum total of who you are. In fact who you are matters way more to us than your skillset.

At The Firm, we nurture your career from the start but we also provide many opportunities for training, development, innovation…and fun.

We teach you the business as well as help you hone your skills.

We understand that, as a young professional, you want to be challenged and rewarded for good performance.

A career at the firm means…

Continuing training + advancement

Support with your CA studies

Learning how businesses succeed

(not just counting
the numbers)

Working with a large variety of clients

A pathway to opportunities within + beyond The Firm

A day in the life of an accountant at the firm

We balance work with play for all our staff as we know people have lives outside the office.

To give you a taste of what working at The Firm might look like, here’s a day in the life snapshot from one of our staff who started with us as a graduate.

The day begins with by planning your day and coordinating with other team members on the day’s priorities.

You go on a coffee run with one of your colleagues to one of the many coffee shops in Braddon, on the hunt to find the perfect cup.

You take a phone call from a client and assist with onboarding a new staff member to their business.

You calculate a client’s refund for their tax return this year.

Time for lunch in the breakout room before a game of pool in the office pool comp.

You and a Partner meet with a client to discuss and track their business goals this year.

You call the tax office to finalise a client’s case with them.

Then, it’s onto a Xero training webinar to hone your skills.

You meet with your colleagues to discuss what you achieved for the day.
